GROW YOUR OWN BLACKBERRIES Blackberries thrive under a wide range of growing conditions. Whether you want to grow something along your back fence or you are looking for a commercial agricultural enterprise these improved varieties of blackberries pay good returns. Blackberries are highly productive with minimum input of toxic chemicals. You can grow delicious abundant berries that you can eat right off the bush. This is real fresh fruit. We suggest that anyone plant as many varieties as possible to determine which variety does best at your location. We have observed significant differences in production from different varieties on our farm. Some varities are better adapted to more northern climates and don't do as well in the south where we have less winter chill hours.
